This is Me: Allison Eunis

ABOUT ME
Allison Eunis was born in Boston, MA to parents of Barbadian descent. Her Caribbean background has a significant influence on her writing style which can be felt through syncopation similar to the Caribbean musical genres of Soca, Reggae, Calypso. She has always had a desire to go the music route. It all started out when her cousin and herself were playing church in their grandmother’s kitchen. At the time, they did not know the words that were usually sung on Sunday mornings, which led to them coming up with their own. Growing up, her classmates knew her as the singer and dancer in class. Overtime, the shy girl in the classroom transformed into someone who volunteered to showcase their skill in talent shows. If it were not for Tenacre country day school, she would not be where she would be today because that was the place where my teachers and classmates encouraged me to look past being shy. Ms. Eunis graduated from Boston Arts Academy (BAA) in 2020. After highschool, she then attended UMASS Boston for a year and then transferred over to Berklee. As a singer-songwriter she would like to bring God glory by encouraging others in the faith and singing praises to His name. Having said this, she would like to make sure to be an impact in this world.
